Undergo Assessment
After showing interest, the PACE team will check if the program is right for you. They will:
Look at your health needs
Check if you need the level of care a nursing home gives
Make a care plan just for you
Complete Enrollment Process
If approved for PACE, you'll need to:
Sign an agreement (stays valid even if your health changes)
Complete any required medical check-ups with the care team
Once signed, you can use all PACE services

How Section 8 housing voucher works
You can choose any housing that meets the program requirements, such as a single-family home, townhouse, or apartment.
Housing choice vouchers can pay for all or part of your rent.
The PHA pays its part of the rent to the owner (landlord), and you as the tenant pay the difference.
Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program

Residents at Section 202 properties are typically charged 30% of their adjusted income for rent, with the remaining costs covered by the federal government.

VA Aid and Attendance

Must have served at least 90 days of active duty with at least one day during a period of war.
Must have anything other than a Dishonorable discharge..
A surviving spouse must have been married to the veteran at the time of his passing, and not remarried unless to a wartime veteran.
Must require the assistance of another person to perform some of the daily activities of living.
Must meet income and countable asset criteria established by the VA.
Must be 65 years and older or totally disabled.

For Veterans (All of these must be true for the Veteran you’re caring for) :
The Veteran has a VA disability rating (individual or combined) of 70% or higher, and
The Veteran was discharged from the U.S. military or has a date of medical discharge, and
The Veteran needs at least 6 months of continuous, in-person personal care services, and
Health and well-being
Everyday personal needs (like feeding, bathing, and dressing)
Safety, protection, or instruction in their daily living environment
The Veteran needs to be enrolled in VA health care
For Caregivers
You must be at least 18 years old. And at least one of these must be true for you:
You’re a spouse, son, daughter, parent, stepfamily member, or extended family member of the Veteran, or
You live full time with the Veteran, or you’re willing to live full time with the Veteran if we designate you as a family caregiver
